  • Recommendation:

    That Council give "Zoning Amendment Bylaw, 2008, No. 3630, Amendment Bylaw No. 4233" third reading.

  • Recommendation:

    That Council adopt "Business Bylaw, 2010, No. 3725, Amendment Bylaw No. 4232".

  • Recommendation:

    That Council approve funding for the following Community Capital Projects Matching Grant Program applications:

    1. $3,358 to Birchland Elementary Parent Advisory Council;
    2. $5,000 to Pitt River Community Middle School Parent Advisory Council;
    3. $6,667 to Coquitlam Search and Rescue;
    4. $2,500 to The Goutsisson Family Foundation;
    5. $3,750 to Port Coquitlam Minor Baseball Association;
    6. $6,426 to Port Coquitlam Skating Club;
    7. $7,900 to ACCESS Youth Outreach Services Society; and,
    8. $4,399 to Kinsmen Club of Port Coquitlam.

  • Recommendation:

    That Council approve the following Community Cultural Development Investment Program grant applications:

    Project Category:

    • $ 5,000 to Theatrix Youtheatre Society;

    • $ 2,500 to Red Fox Healthy Living Society; and,

    • $ 2,500 to ACCESS Youth Outreach Services Society.

     

    Development Category – Community Initiative:

    • $ 2,500 to Melissa Burgher Fine Arts; and,

    • $ 2,500 to Elvira Monteforte and Dolores Altin.

     

    Operating Category:

    • $20,000 to Port Coquitlam Cultural and Heritage Society

  • Recommendation:

    WHEREAS the Council of the City of Port Coquitlam considers the condition of the property located at 2224 Mary Hill Rd. (the "Property") to be a nuisance and a hazard as it creates an unsafe condition and is a danger to public health and safety;

    AND WHEREAS the Council has considered the following attached documents:

    1. Building Location and Condition,
    2. Enforcement Summary;

    NOW THEREFORE, pursuant to Sections 72, 73 and 74 of the Community Charter, Council of the City of Port Coquitlam, resolves:

    1. That the building identified in Attachment #1 to this report located at 2224 Mary Hill Rd. creates an unsafe condition.
    2. That the registered owner of the Property (the “Owner”) be required to completely demolish and remove the buildings identified in Attachment #1 to this report and restore the property to a safe and orderly condition. 
    3. That the Owner be required to comply with this resolution by the date that is 30 days after notice of this resolution is served or provided by registered mail; and,
    4. That if the Owner has not complied with this resolution within the specified time, City staff by its workers and others, may enter onto the Property without further notice to the Owner and perform the work specified in this resolution; the cost of performing the work shall immediately become debt owed by the Owner to the City; and such debt, if unpaid by December 31, 2021, with applicable interest on the City's standard terms for unpaid accounts, may be recovered by transferring the debt to the property tax account for the Property pursuant to Section 258 of the Community Charter.
  • Recommendation:

    That the Tuesday, June 22, 2021, Council Meeting be adjourned.
